If you have some free time and would like to travel to another country to get to know a new reality, learn about a certain topic and spend a few days in an international environment, short-term projects are ideal for you! These projects last between 5 and 21 days and, from our experience, this is the best option to start your international experiences.
Exchanges and International Volunteering
Throughout the year there are vacancies to take part in Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training course, but also and SCI workcamps. It is important to highlight that during the holidays and, especially in the summer break there are plenty of opportunities to choose from.
Through the Erasmus+ programme, you can take part in fully funded projects. These projects are the result of a collaboration between organisations – the sending organisations in your home country who is responsible for supporting you throughout the process in cooperation with the hosting organisation that will organise the youth exchange in the destination country.
Some of the SCI workcamps are partially funded projects, while for others you will have to cover all costs. These workcamps are promoted by Service Civil International and the representative organisations in your home country. The only disadvantage of these workcamps when compared with Erasmus+ project is all the costs you will incur for a similar experience.
Every year there are other short-term opportunities and contests, such as Act.ival for Future, Youth4Regions, Young Leaders for Future, among many others. We advise you to follow our Facebook, because we will announce these opportunities when the applications are open.
Erasmus+ Projects
Young people between 13 and 30 years old can take part in mobility projects funded by Erasmus+, but it is also possible for people over 30 to join these activities. These projects are based on different topics and take place in European and partner countries.
